Product Overview

LMB5L-40 RCBO is an integrated residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO), combining miniature circuit breaker (MCB) and residual current device (RCD) into one compact 1P+N modular unit. It provides 3-in-1 protection against overload, short circuit and earth leakage.

Adopted high-precision electromagnetic trip system, this RCBO trips instantly once leakage occurs, effectively preventing electric shock hazards for human body. C curve characteristic is suitable for household and light commercial loads such as lighting, socket circuits, air conditioners and small power equipment. Standard 35mm DIN rail installation for easy assembly inside distribution boxes. Widely used in residential buildings, apartments, retail shops and small PV auxiliary power distribution systems.

Technical Specifications

Main Functions

1. Overload Protection When load current exceeds rated value for a period, RCBO will automatically trip to prevent cable overheating and fire risk.
2. Short Circuit Protection Instant trip when short-circuit fault occurs, quickly cut off power to protect wiring and upstream electrical equipment.
3. Earth Leakage / Residual Current Protection Once leakage current reaches 30mA, the unit trips rapidly to protect users from fatal electric shock.
4. Function Test Button (Orange T button) Press the orange TEST button monthly to verify the leakage protection function works normally.

⚠️ Note: Press test button only when circuit is powered on.

Installation Guide

⚠️ Installation must be carried out by qualified electrician, power off before wiring!

1. Clip the RCBO onto standard 35mm DIN rail inside distribution box.
2. Wiring: Top terminals for incoming power; Bottom terminals for outgoing load.
3. L terminal for live wire, N terminal for neutral wire. Tighten all screws firmly, no bare copper exposed.
4. After wiring, switch ON the handle, then press TEST button to check trip function.
5. IP20, indoor use only, not for outdoor exposed installation.

Operation & Indication

• Switch handle UP = ON, power output available
• Switch handle DOWN = OFF / Tripped, power disconnected
• Orange T button: Monthly test for leakage protection
• Green indicator window: Status display

If the breaker trips automatically: Check circuit overload, short circuit or earth leakage fault before re-closing. Do NOT force reset repeatedly without troubleshooting.

 Safety Warnings

1. High voltage inside, do not disassemble the product. Risk of electric shock.
2. This RCBO cannot protect against overvoltage and undervoltage. Match with OVP if voltage protection is required.
3. Press TEST button every month to confirm leakage protection function.
4. Stop using immediately if housing cracks, melts or produces strange odor.
5. Not for DC circuit application. For AC 230V only.
6. Do not exceed rated current for long-term operation.
